We were contacted by a very compassionate woman who had been doing her best to care for a growing family of feral cats. She was a tenant on a rural property that had been sold, and the new owners did not want cats around. She was given a very short timeframe to move, and was extremely concerned about the fate of these cats.
Thankfully, we were able to get permission to set up a small feeding station while we worked to find excellent barn homes who would commit to our rehoming protocols and contact us if the cats ever require medical attention.
Relocating feral cats is an option of last resort, and we only do it when returning them would result in unsafe or unhealthy conditions. It is essential for feral cats to be rehomed following a strict process that will help them transition and feel comfortable in their new locations.
